Kim Nooij (1986) studied Interactive Media (communication & multimedia design) at the University of Applied Sciences of Amsterdam and graduated in 2010. She worked as interaction designer at Butterfly Works (2009-2011) a social design studio and Mountbatten (2011-2012) an IT company in Uganda.
She has 2 years of freelance experience and worked for Oxfam Novib, Media Focus on Africa and others. In 2013 she won the World of Difference Program by the Vodafone Foundation, dance4life and the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) and spend a year in Ghana working on MHealth and ICT4D.
Kim Nooij is one of the founders of Tech Support Ghana, an open community of people with common interests in open source and web-related technologies, who come together to learn about new topics, share experiences and helps others in accomplishing their goals in northern Ghana. She provides technical advice, manages external community relations and works on a long term strategy to make the group sustainable.
Her profile can be best described as Interaction Designer on the move, crafting concepts through a practical approach with tech tools for a better user experience on and off line.

Winner World of Difference – 2012
The World of Difference Project by the Vodafone Foundation, dance4life and the International Institute for Communication for Development (IICD) offers 4 people the chance to work on a health project in a developing country. The 2012/2013 edition took place in Tamale, North Ghana at a local organisation active in the field on health and ICT.
